Take Advantage of Your Child's Best Opportunity to Learn

Music Pups is a music education curriculum designed to unleash the musical potential of young children. Featuring award winning music, engaging activities, CDs, and caring, professional instructors, we are proud of the high standards we set in the field of early childhood music education. Each 10 week session presents a new collection of music. The children are exposed to a wide variety of styles designed to expand their music vocabulary. An assortment of rhythm instruments, balls, scarves, stick horses, stretchy bands, and puppets are used to engage even the youngest of children in rhythmic and melodic participation. Suggestions are routinely taken from the children (or their parents) for substitutions of words or actions that will personalize the songs. In this way, the creative process is fostered. Just as the brains of babies are literally being wired to discern and compute the sounds of the verbal language around them, so the brains of babies can be wired for the melodic and rhythmic sounds of music. The greater the palette of sounds children are exposed to, the greater their music vocabulary will be that upon which they can build as they grow.

While we take our goal of educating children very seriously, we know that the key to success lies in one word - fun! Everyone has a great time in class, and children love listening to the CDs over and over again at home. Because we know that it is essential for adults to enjoy the songs as well, we make sure our music isn't simplistic or babyish. Parents frequently tell us how much they enjoy the music.

Research shows that early childhood is the window of opportunity to increase the lifelong music aptitude of a child. Spend time doing music with your child during the first few years and the payoff will be great. Your child will enjoy a lifetime of greater enjoyment and understanding of music, and have an easier time learning how to play an instrument later in life.
